Modular spectrofluorometer for emission, excitation and fluorescence lifetime measurements.
Horiba · Fluorolog-3 with 2iHR spectrometer and FL-1000 lifetime module
What it does
The reference luminescence system of the facility. Excitation is selected by monochromator, and the emitted light is dispersed and detected as a spectrum. The lifetime module additionally records how quickly the emission decays after excitation, which is sensitive to the local environment of the emitting species and to interactions a spectrum alone does not show.
Key capabilities
- Emission and excitation spectra
- Fluorescence lifetime measurement
- Quantum yield determination
- Low-signal detection with a modular optical bench
Applications
Chemistry · Life sciences · Materials · Biotechnology
Sample types
Solutions, suspensions, thin films and solid samples, including labelled biological samples.
