Research-grade FTIR spectrometer for functional group identification and composition.
Bruker · Vertex 70 FTIR spectrometer
What it does
Infrared light passes through or reflects off the sample and the wavelengths it absorbs are recorded. Those absorptions correspond to specific chemical bonds, so the spectrum identifies functional groups and confirms what a material is made of, or how it has changed after a treatment or a reaction.
Key capabilities
- Functional group identification
- Composition and purity confirmation
- Library-based material identification
- Multiple sampling modules
Applications
Chemistry · Materials · Environmental · Industrial
Sample types
Solids, powders, films, coatings and liquids, depending on the sampling module.
